Patricia Apollonia Kotero was an American model and singer. Also, she was a co-star in Prince's 1984 movie Purple Rain. Her most well-known role was co-starring in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain and for having been the singer in the girl group Apollonia 6. The actress and singer was named Apollonia by Prince and became one of many female performers in the 1980s that benefited from her connection with the Purple One. The actress was featured in numerous small films, including Purple Rain's sequel Under the Cherry Moon (which she did not want to be in), and then landed the lead role as Falcon Crest on the Night-Time drama Falcon Crest from 1985-1986. Apollonia began her professional debut in 1988. However, the album of R&B/dance that was pretty pedestrian and failed to leave a lasting impression on people who were buying music at that at the time, soon vanished. Throughout the decade that followed her career was a full-time actress, playing minor roles in films as well as small television shows.
