Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actress and musician. She began by releasing humorous, cleverly written music that tackled topics like race and sexual orientation. She then expanded her fan base to Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was Nora's first instrument. Apart from classical music and jazz, the young Nora started to study hip-hop during her teens. Concentrating on school she majored in journalism and women's studies, and was taking classes in Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. Her focus shifted to music once she graduated. Her track in 2012 My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success through the Internet and was later released on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. Other viral hits included the Queef track and the eye-catching NYC Bitchecity tour. The track that was second on the album linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide that was published in 2015, which was an additional project. Following a career that was successful as a performer and songwriter, she decided to take on the role of an actor. Apart from the early television shows such as Girl Code and Tawk, she's been featured in movies like Neighbors2Storks, and Bad Rap. The actress made headlines in the year 2018, with several notable films like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. Then in June, she launched the EP in Fina We Trust.
